My husband got into a car accident and the victim has a claim for 30000 for bodily injury any advice?

E were found at fault for the accident the airbags didn't deploy and the other vehicle was barely dented. The driver is asking for 30000 for injuries but didn't receive medical attention immediately. She was able to drive away from the accident 15 min after the police showed up. We weren't. She won't release any information to our insurance company. How do we know she didn't self inflict her injuries? What's the best action to take? All the information just surfaced within the last few months and we are now waiting for a subpoena.
