Movie about cloning a dead child?

I saw this movie back in the 1990's and I can't think of the name. In it a young son is bothering his father at a business meeting where the dad hits him and accidently causes him to hit his head on the fireplace and dies. The parents decide to clone him and something goes wrong when the clone is in utero. I never saw the end and don't know what else happens. I think the clone becomes an alien while the mom is pregnant but i'm not positive. Does anyone know the name?
