Is Obama and DNC throwing Rangel under the BUS?
No. Corruption has to be addressed and taken care of but not in behind the doors "negotiations" but in full view, so that we know what has occurred and what the punishment will be. Obama isn't throwing Rangel under the bus, but very politely indicating that Rangel no longer has the president's confidence. As more politicians fall prey to their own greed and are called to account for it, we shall see if the president continues to speak in such a reasoned manner or, if he is giving Rangel a break because Obama rushed to judgment on Sherrod. We are reaching a new low in political integrity - when those in power like Rangel continue to dance around the ethics charges with others defending them. As the former Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Mr. Rangel's misadventures are particularly egregious. I don't care about his dignity, I care about his honesty.
