Are the rep Irish proud of the British Empire since they did hlp build it?

As the Empire has now gone it is not something worth getting proud of, or otherwise - not that we should not study it, of course. The world would be a better place if we didn't get quite so hung-up about the activities of our forefathers - apart from learning what to avoid in the future.
