Is it okay to wear nice leather boots with heels in the Indy during the summer?

The boots I'm referring to are for women. They aren't knee-high but probably 4-5 inches above the ankle. They are made of faux leather and have not-so-high heels. Are they okay to wear during the summer in Indy? I'm doing this talk infront of people so I'm hoping boots are okay to wear on stage.
