Are truth and justice objective or subjective?
In other words, are truth and justice things that exist independently of us in some form, or are they relative things that we humans create? Also, are you a supporter of evolution? If so, do you think the fact that apes and other social animals have a sense of "fairness" supports your view? In other words, do you think that social animals evolve a sense of justice only because its advantageous to their survival? (In which case, if their biology was different they would have a different sense of what is fair) Or do they evolve a sense of justice because justice exists independently of them? Is justice like sunlight? Do we evolve "eyes for justice" in response to something objective? (In which case if our biology were different, we would still have the same sense of what is fair) Thoughts?
